| Concept | For many years, the Canton of Schaffhausen and the State of Baden-Württemberg have cultivated diverse political, economic and social relations. The two regions had set themselves the goal of allowing the Expo.02 public to participate in this fruitful cross-border partnership through innovative encounters and surprising performances. The symbolic element of the day was a bridge. The bridge was at the centre of the ceremony on the Grande Scène, which was built jointly by carpentry apprentices and draughtsmen from both countries. This commonality was also reflected in the meditative atmosphere and programme of the Cargo and was visualised through the dreams of young people in Youth Dreams. | |
