Feldschlösschen Beverage Group was an Official Partner and supported Expo.02.
The Feldschlösschen Beverage Group fulfils an important service mandate for Expo.02 by being responsible for the logistics of the soft drinks - as the ‘Expo.02 thirst quencher’, so to speak. With an infrastructure that is unique to the Group, the aim is to provide the right drinks in the right quantities and at the right temperatures in the right places for Expo.02 visitors.
Feldschlösschen is the leading Swiss beer brand. The Feldschlösschen Beverage Group, headquartered in Rheinfelden, is the largest beverage producer and the largest beverage trading company in Switzerland with a diverse range of beers, mineral waters and soft drinks. It has eight production sites throughout Switzerland (including four breweries) and 23 beverage distribution centres. It employs around 2'200 people.
The Feldschlösschen Beverage Group produces around 440'000'000 litres of beer, mineral water and soft drinks annually in its production plants. This corresponds to over 1.3 billion bottles of 3.3 litres each. This means that 2'500 bottles are filled every minute, around the clock, all year round. If these 1'300'000'000 (standing) bottles are lined up in a row, this results in a length of 80,000 kilometres, which is almost twice the circumference of the earth.
In November 2000, the Feldschlösschen Beverage Group was taken over by Carlsberg Breweries. It is run by a Swiss management team, and the same popular quality beverages continue to be produced and distributed in the same production facilities and sales centres by the same qualified and proven employees.
