The free-standing ellipse-shaped Helix is made of wood and metal. With an arch rising and dsclining by 6 per cent, the Helix circles the Towers and reaches a 12.00 metres Bridge (shipping passage) after 220.00 metres. The distance between the supports is determined by the permitted maximum load of 50 tons. For cost reasons, the Helix support on the Forum consists of scaffolding rather than individual stakes. Hence, access to some areas is restricted to avoid excess loads.
