The orchestra of the prestigious Verbier Festival & Academy gave two special symphony concerts at the Tente Centenaire. The orchestra was founded in 2000 on the initiative of UBS and comprises over 100 musicians aged between 16 and 30 from more than 30 countries.

At Expo.02, the orchestra played under the direction of two world-famous conductors: 
Zubin Mehta (IND), the chief conductor of the Maggio Musicale in Florence
James Levine (USA), the artistic director of the Metropolitan Opera in New York and the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra
