Pavillon Vaudois

The 26 spruce trunks, arranged in a circle with a diameter of 30 metres, strutted cheekily towards the clouds.

The pavilion, an open structure made of wood and grass panelling in the shape of a cylinder. On a gently sloping ramp around the cylinder, each of the 384 Vaud municipalities had a chair. The façade consisted of an English lawn that grew and overgrew over time.

Blooming in spring, leafy and rustling in summer, flaming and fading in autumn, the Pavillon Vaudois told the story of Vaud, its regional products, its wines and its inhabitants.
