30 students were selected to take part in a three-day think tank in Graubünden in autumn 2001. On this occasion, the students agreed on a single project: Textile Transformations. Over the next six months, six groups prepared a special exhibition on this theme, working in a textile studio set up especially for them. Under the artistic direction of Benjamin Thut (thutundknup), these young people were able to develop a unique and innovative exhibition.

This exhibition was shown for six weeks in the HPM hall at the main entrance to the Arteplage Biel-Bienne. The exhibition was divided into six different sections:

• Textile colours
• Textile volumes
• Textile memories
• Textile perspectives
• The textile emancipation of Dame Helvetia
• Textile patterns
