The Swiss Tubes are feed silos that - otherwise in use on Lake Thun, in Gwatt - have been expanded for the time of Expo.02. Each tube, as the Swiss Tubes are also called, has six beds. Further overnight accommodation is available in the 14 boxes that have been placed right next to the tubes. These offer more comfort: parquet flooring, roller shutters and a tiled bathroom. The Swiss Tubes are only 222 steps from the main entrance of the Arteplage Biel-Bienne and 444 steps from the railway station.
