The stage was set for concerts featuring contemporary music: pop, rock, French chansons, funk, rap and reggae. Both established stars and young talents from Switzerland and abroad performed on the Scène des Etoiles. On Sundays, the theme was Scène libre (open stage): singers and music groups presented excerpts from their shows. Visitors to the Scène des Etoiles could also enjoy various events organised by the cantonal days.

The Scène des Etoiles was a wooden beam construction with a membrane roof.
