Workshop report: Consumers want to know the truth about food production:
Labels, certifications, regional brands, proof of origin, customs controls... and yet antibiotics are being fed without prescriptions by companies that carry the quality label of branded meat. And genetically modified products appear unexpectedly where they are not expected. All the organisational efforts of the associations and sectors do not seem to be having a decisive effect. Can food quality be controlled at all with labelling and declaration activism? How are prices and services communicated to the consumer?
